What do I do if I can’t find my welcome email?

Welcome emails are sent automatically to the email provided at checkout. Please check your spam or junk folder — sometimes they end up there! If you still can’t locate it, email us at bvalleyranch@gmail.com, and we’ll be happy to resend it to you.

Where can I find the lockbox code?

The lockbox code and all other important information regarding your stay can be found in your welcome email. Welcome emails are automatically sent at the time your reservation is made, so please be sure to save that email for check-in.

Where can I find the Camp & Ride info?

You can book your Camp & Ride directly on our Events page on the Big Valley Ranch website. Just find the event you’d like to join, click “Book Now,” and follow the steps to reserve your spot. Don’t forget — each guest will also need to fill out a waiver form under the Info tab.

Are you open 24/7?

While we are not physically open 24/7, we do provide an after-hours contact number for guests during their stay. You can find this information in your welcome email. If you need assistance outside of regular hours, our dedicated team member is available to help with urgent concerns.

What is the best time of year to visit Big Valley Ranch?

Big Valley Ranch offers something special year-round! Spring and summer bring lush trails and outdoor fun, fall offers breathtaking foliage, and winter is perfect for a peaceful retreat. Each season has its own charm!

Is there Wi-Fi at Big Valley Ranch?

 While we encourage you to unplug and enjoy the natural beauty of Big Valley Ranch, all of our houses are equipped with strong and reliable Wi-Fi, so you can stay connected if needed.

Are there any restaurants nearby?

Is there parking available at Big Valley Ranch?

 Yes! We provide parking on-site, with designated areas near each accommodation for easy access. Plus, we now offer an electric vehicle charging station at the main campground by the barn.

What types of events can I host at Big Valley Ranch?

 While we don’t host weddings, we’ve hosted many unforgettable family reunions, corporate retreats, and other special gatherings. Contact us for more details on how we can make your event memorable.

Is Big Valley Ranch pet-friendly?

 While dogs are not allowed in our cabins, we are pet-friendly during our Camp and Ride weekends, where dogs are welcome if leashed. Visit our Pricing and Policies page for more information.

How many miles of trails does Big Valley Ranch have?

 We proudly offer over 50 miles of stunning trails for you to explore and enjoy!

Can I bring my ATV or snowmobile?

 Motorized vehicles are not allowed on our trails, but there are plenty of other activities to enjoy! See our “Things to Do” page for options.

Do you have horses I can ride at Big Valley Ranch?

 We do not provide horses on-site, but guests are welcome to bring their own. You can also visit Doby Stables in Dodgeville for guided horseback riding.

Can I still access the trails in November?

Trails are closed during hunting season for safety, but there are still plenty of activities in the area! Check our “Things to Do” page for ideas.

Can I mountain bike at Big Valley Ranch?

Yes! While we don’t provide bikes, guests are encouraged to bring their own and explore the trails for an unforgettable experience.

Can I bring my horse out to ride for the day?

Trail riding is only available for guests staying onsite. When you book a stay, your reservation includes trail passes, so you and your horse can enjoy the trails during your visit.

Does my state park trail pass work at Big Valley Ranch?

Since we’re a privately owned event facility, we cannot accept state park trail passes. Weekend trail passes are available for our guests—see the Events page for more details.
